im gettin probs with some settings on css.wondering if anyone has any idea how to solve it.

my system @ e6600,8800gtx,2gig ram.

ive taken some screenies for your viewing pleasure :lol:

you can see the wall of white as i move up the ramp.

thats all the ones where you can see it the best.ive tried every setting in css,i even turned everything onto the lowest settings and it was still the same.

its a nightmare cos i cant tell who is who at distance :(

any help or suggestions would be much appreciated :)

two options

install dx9 again

install latest graphics card drivers

What do you mean?
You cant see the player at distance or you cant see the name of the player so yo ucant tell if he is Red or Blue?

most likely a driver bug...you could try reinstalling them but probs wont acheive much...

oh, and turn vsync on. will improve quality of viewing

its not the fact i cant see them its the fact i cant tel what team they are on untill i can hover over them long enough to see who it is,by then its to late :lol:

ill turn vsync on and see what happens :)

anyone on here got the same problem with the 8800?

Flat I noticed the draw distances of objects has increased like the bottles. I think the card does a better job of handing fog and so people with good cards are penalised.

The other problem is the 8800 drivers are not completely finished so things will take a while to settle down.

With a beefy card like that, you could up the visable range variable in your console (if it isnt already at max) see if that would help at all. I would put it in but I canne remember off the top of my head and all games sites are blocked at college =|

Its most likely to be a driver bug but you can check it out in the meantime. :)

cheers for the link,a guy on there is running vista 64 ultimate and the problem has gone.ive got vista 64 ultimate but dont have a cd key as of yet.wont be to hard to find one on the net tho :lol:

Yup. I gots teh 8800GTS and I have the EXACT same problem. I daresay it's just the 8800GTS drivers. It'll probs be fixed soon. :(

The problem is with the 8800 series drivers, currently you will have to wait until Nvidia releases a driver update to fix this.

that sux ass,you paye stupid money for hardware and they cant be arsed making proper driver so it works with prolly the most played FPS online game..........grrrrrrrrrrr :evil:
