Easy stuff mate - just look at the back of the power supply, if it doesn't say antec then you've got a problem.

But seriously...

Unplug it from anything (this wont be as accurate as loaded but hey) and stick a multimeter accross the outputs (you can find the ATX spec somewhere on the web) to check the +5v +12v +3.3v -5v -12v etc etc lines

also make sure everythings plugged in properly :)

Wont be able to afford a new one for another 2 weeks

Hopefully one of my mates will have a spare one

Good idea to try that anyway to make sure it isn't the motherboard.... Sure on /off lead from button to motheroard hasn't come loose as well.

a multimeter costs £3...much less than a new PSU

How old it the power supply anyways? Cause Antec has good warrenty.

But do any of the fans spin up when you turn on your PC? Cause it doesn't necessarily have to be your power supply.

What Bill says is a good option to try out. This way you'll know a little better if it's power supply or not.

It could be something stupid like the power switch is borked - try shorting out the 'turn on' leads

Got a receipt for it? You mostly get 2 years of warranty so check that out.

If you are getting the correct voltages on the lines then its working - it could still be the mobo (spot the desparate antec fanboy)

When my computer died, I would press the power button, the fans would spin (plugged into the powersupply, not the ones plugged into the mobo). So it was the mobo that wasn't distributing power to where it was needed
