Somone needs to update their (very) old OLEAUT32.DLL with a newer one, but windows seems to be using it, and apparently move on boot is ineffective.
Recovery console? or is there a sneaky other way? (cant try safe mode because novell doesn't work in safe mode  )

still needs the install disk to check against - ideally I want to do it without having to get that

tried using regsvr32 in commandline to unregister then register new dll (before you reboot) ?
i.e.
regsvr32 -u mydll.dll
regsvr32 newdll.dll
might need to be in safe mode to do it...
