user32.dll / shell32.dll issues

Post subject:  user32.dll / shell32.dll issues
I'm pretty sure crap cleaner messed up both these files, as now AVG doesn't work and I can't run the installer for C&C 3 as I get this error message;

I've tried replacing the dll's but you can't overwrite them because their in use, and I tried deleting them using killbox which restarts computer, makes them not a dll, then deletes, but I think windows just replaces it automatically with the same crap one that doesnt work.

Anyway getting annoyed, if I hadn't customized my computer to the extreme (coloured every folder) then I'd format it :P.

Any help apprieciated, thanks :/

It was a windows update, not sure but I think it was the cursor security patch. Your not the only one...

Patch didn't do anything :(, still get the error..

Thanks though keep trying for me cos i'll be away for a couple days :D.

could be wrong, but isnt it just the 3.1 installer that needs to be reinstalled and all should be well :?

Even Calculator doesn't work. :(

Oh and the patch doesnt install because the shell32.exe controls installing.
