I got NOD 32 which is up to date, they are OK in Icon, list and detail view, its just tiles and thumbnail view where they show up corrupted...  _________________

Well that bug went away after installing a security update, still think they are related problems to the user32.dll issue which I still got.  _________________

is your shell32.dll ok.
I think thats where these icons are stored, I guess it could be related tothe borked MS update
