If you can find better gear for the same sort of price (from Ebuyer, not diffrent place....want to get it together) then link please.

Any changes or advice?

if u want to bump it down a bit... lose the dvd drive, network card, neon (chavs).. and i would spend about £70-90 on a PSU

the e6600 has 4mb cache over 2mb on the 6300,if it were my money id get the 6600.

you dont need a network card as you have 2ports on ur mobo.

your mobo also has 7.1hd sound so why bother with a sound card? i would spend the extra on a better gfx card or psu.

i would get one of these over the antec.if your not planning on upgrading to an 8800/r600 then you wont need the 620w. (ive got the 620 and it pwns)

if you want to run at high res on those big monitors your gonna need a gfx card with more memory.

Seems like a nice setup. Lose the extras like the neons, dvd-drive and network card though. :P

As for the E6400/E6300, I picked the E6300 because the 4MB cache are, doesn't make noticable difference in performance from what I've read. I just got a beefy cooler (scythe recommended) and overclocked my E6300 to 2.88GHz. Runs smoothly. :D

If you plan to overclock, do read up first.

I was searching for that card....I thought thats the one I put in the specs....

Okay now then...

I go for everything up there...

Minus the DVD-Drive and network card.

And replace the graphics card with this one. (512MB)

It'll all work?

No need to change the PSU due to better card?

And add in the CPU coller that flatline found.

As above no need for a seperate Network card.

Id go for 6400, that lower multiplier hampers overclocking quite a bit (If your Game)

Go for the 20" Monitor

Neon stuff - not my scene

Abit Motherboard - Are they reliable once again?

Sound card - onboard sound isnt too bad and doesnt kill the CPU like they used to so you might not need one

yes network inbuilt mobo..
sound inbuilt mobo...
only need 1DVDRW tbh..
make sure your PSU is at least 550watt.. pref 600+
also look at 12V rails and stuff... (spend about 70-100)

Umm everyones mentioning the 6400 in comparison to the 6300, but the original post mentions a 6600, whats the opinion on these, just curious for myself, since similair powered system to the one I am looking at.

AFAIK Intel produce one Core2Duo chip. Those which have 4mb of useable cache are made into 6600 and 6900 (or whatever the top one is). Those which only have 2mb of useable cache are made into 6300 and 6400. They are the same chips otherwise, with higher multipliers (11x, 12x, 13x, and 14x or summat). Those which are judged to be higher quality are higher multipliers.

Basically, you can overclock a 6300 to the top chip pretty easily, though not as reliably as you could a 6400, and you will also miss 2mb of cache
