well i was thinking of sli'ing my 7900gt, but it really is not worth it, UNLESS you play at silly resoluitions like 2600x1900. You will see virtually no fps increase for the extra price your paying, when with say that exrta £200 you could just get a £200 better single card. whats your budget? |

i have a 7950GT, when my brother let me have his 7950GT we did a few tests, got consistantly 40 FPS more in SLI, this was running at 1680x1050. I would agree though, 1 super card is probably better, stay away from the 8600 series though, 128 bit, are you kidding me. |

i have one of these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... =GX-091-LT soon to be 2, this is a great card for the money, apart from that you are looking at an 8800 card or the X1950, though once the R600 ATI chip comes out those prices will drop, also the X2950 is the new ATI card, but they have a X 2600 series coming out that will match the top 7950 series and the bottom 8800 series. So it might be worth holding off for a little while. |

The Direct 10 cards are out but dont expect them to run in SLI just yet. Plus you dont need the power of 2 8800 cards unless you've a screen larger than 1900x1600 and what to run AA and AF at rediculus levels |

so if i were to buy one now then that particular card would never be able to be used in SLI |

Go Crossfire, apparently its far better at processing data than SLi. That and I think the bang for buck situation with Radeon is amazing. |

the 8800gtx is better than crossfire and the gts isnt far off so unless your gonna get 2 r600's then dont go with crossfire. |
