Easy as cake huh :D, reason why mine didnt work when I first tried to boot was because the RAM wasnt pushed in enough  , obvious first time builder mistake to make :P.

Does your headset not have a separate mic and headphone jack from it?

If so that would make it much simpler, you just plug purely the mic part in to the correct jack on the sound card and can have what you want.

My personal set up is, one set of headphones (good ones), then my cheapset for their mic, then a set of speakers hooked up to the digital out, so I could use speakers if I wanted (and would if css would output dolby digital (or some other digital) 5.1 surround via SPDIF)

Gone some Sennheisers USB ones here, and when you plug them into any USB port, my sondcard recognises its, and puts CSS on the headphone channel, while still allowing te speakers to play music, after the mucking around with wires it used to need that was worth the cost alone.
