Trying to get my pc on my hdtv, well iv goty it on but it overlaps around all the edges, it doesnt matter what resolution i try :S

its connected via HDMI. Im running vista with latest nvidia drivers.

anyone know how to get it to fit the screen properly?

what tv is - its called overscan and mine does it a bit
there was a option for overscan in the tv options

I would find out the res of your tv, then define a custom resoulution for that using the nvidia software (if your res is 1366 x 768 you will have to use 1360 as the numbers need to be divisible by 8 apparently).

my samsung tv had problems with me using hdmi to connect the pc, i had to switch to vga instead

is yours a samsung aswell? that may be the problem :)

my sony does it in revers : as in wont fill the whole screen. forunately there's an option to expand it so i sorted it. but when i tried with VGA it was actually seemingly better. i'd already run the HDMI cable though - so i've stuck with that.

the background on my samsung doesnt fill the whole screen but when i open i window it does but it doesnt over lap with the monitor at all.
