Sounds similar to how need for speed carbon was on mine, you'd get half way through a race and it would go again, no warning. Have you checked through any related forums to find an answer? |

I get the same with carbon too, maybe SC is just purely designed for Vista and XP locks up because its designed for Vista's kernal? I thought games that stated Vista were Vista only. if not I might get Halo 2 ![]() |

Well................ I did find this: http://files.filefront.com/3GB_enabler2zip/;6791818;/fileinfo.html Via this: http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?p=22082 Still crashes, but a lot less now... Something to do with the 2 GB Limit Quote: On a personal note, I am a semi-casual player of real time strategy(RTS) games and I've been playing Supreme Commander lately. This is a different kind of article, it's a record and the result of my own efforts to resolve why I was having crashing issues with Supreme Commander. With no intended disrespect towards THQ or the game's developers (Gas Powered Games) we could have not possibly asked for a better example of the 2GB barrier in action. It's exactly the experience we believe many people will have as they hit the 2GB barrier, mainly those power users who use large monolithic applications such as games or multimedia tools.

didnt know about the hotfix for intels, but yes, i kind of understood that last bit had to install this hotfix for mine looking at your task manager, i take it you havent installed the hotfix for your dual core, it seems that only one is actually doing all the work, then again that might be the norm ![]() Dr.Strangelove - useless |
