Right got me new PC Everythin kk (for like 5 hours) Vista was sayin every like 15 minutes that the display driver had failed but had been restored (screen went black for bout 5 secs) Ignored it cos it only happend like 3/4 times then i unplugged the monitor because i was goin away and didnt wanna leave a brand new monitor on my desk for every1 to see/nick Then later i had to plug it back in to book my train tickets and the monitor says "No signal output, check video cable" on the monitor then turns off (the monitor not the pc) I thought it was monitor at first so i got another one out and that didnt work either. Then I tried The monitor (without DVI adapter) on another PC and that worked, then i tried it with DVI adapter and it didnt work, SO it looked liek it was the DVI adapter so i borrowed another one of my friend which made my monitor work on other PC's but not my own. The only logical thing now is MY 8800gtx IS BORKED what do i do?? should i jus send the whole system back as faulty??? After this happened i got my dad to check all the connectors n tings and they're all fine. I've been saving my money for about 4 years and i finally decided to spend it on a PC and its broken........in under a day halp me pls |

i guess you've tried both connectors on the gpu? try and borrow another pci-e gpu and see if it works then you're probably going to have to send it back and ask for a replacement |

yeah that was the next logical step i thought but i dont wanna remove it because that might void the warranty then they are unlikely to replace it right? or they might jus say "you broke it by doin this" when i aint even touched it |

I'll post back when I can remember how I resolve this issue. And I very much doubt its faulty hardware. Also... when you turn it on (before booting into windows etc) does it work then? If not then its EXACTLY the same symtoms. I tend to get this issue when I unplug stuff. lol |

Well the monitor is on standby, and before it all went wrong it would turn itself on and then you would see the windows logo where as now it jus stays on standby, if you turn it on manually it says "No Signal Input, Check video cable" The cable, monitor, and DVI adapter have all been checked on 3 different configs so that rules them out, also the PC was workin properly before (except from the driver message) |

dont try fixing anything or changing anything, you risk voiding your warranty. speak with them see if they can suggest anything and if not arrange to get it back to them |
