7.1 wont work in css

Post subject:  7.1 wont work in css
it worked for about a minute and then stopped.

everytime i change it to 7.1 in the audio option it goes back to 2channel.

this it what it says in console


Speaker configuration has been changed to 7.1 speaker.
Speaker configuration has been changed to stereo speaker.
couldn't exec userconfig.cfg
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/config.cfg

any ideas?

it started working again last night but i was tired and had a headache so ill try it again tonight and see if it works.
