Post subject:  ATi X1950 problems

Hey guys, I don't play on the server much, but I know this is a pretty busy community and I thought maybe you guys could help me out a bit faster than other forums..
So I gots myself a new x1950 pro, and i've sorted out res and refresh rates etc, but no matter how hard i try, my actual screen never seems to fit the monitor perfectly I keep messing about with the little buttons on the front of the monitor [crt btw] and it never seems perfect :?
Also, in catalyst control center, whenever i set my refresh rate to 75hz, after i reboot, it resets itself back to 60hz, messing everything up again :(
Help greatly appreciated :3

though I hate to say it, it just sounds like one of those windows things which is irritating and won't got away 'til you buy something expensive. That or some niggling little problem that requires the changing of one normally insignificant setting buried deep in a pile of sub-menus...

in short, I got nothin'

i'd just blame your monitor.

CRTs dont tend to always fit perfectly, how far off is it?

its a silly wee curve on the left hand side. Even thought I hardly notice it, its one of them tiny things that you spot and just aggrivate you :P I'll probably get over it soon enough.
oh, and I downloaded a program called 'refresh lock' which has locked my refreshrate at 75hz, which is all good, apart from the fact that CS:S doesn't launch anymore :(
