Basically the support guy came and gave me a static IP, as it wouldnt get it automatically.

So it works now, but every now and then I lose the connection and it wont reconnect until I restart my PC. When I try and repair the connection it says something about not being able to connect to the DNS server, and if I disable my card then I cant enable it again....

Maybe its a problem with my network card?

......ffs, it just did it whilst i was writing this post D:<

sry, I didnt get back to replying to this.

There was a primary and a secondary dns yeah, but I added the gateways ip as a third one and now it seems to work.

Thanks though, you were along the right lines :)
