Right: This is what is happening

Infrequently:

Computer reboots with no warning.
Newer games Like COD4 just crash out.
Getting regular errors and corrupt files on the hard drives.
CD/DVD drive is failing on burning disks, has rebooted PC when it gets to finalising CD a couple of times or just fails on the burn.

Not sure what it is, did memtest but came up completly clear. What else could it be?

Temp1: North Chipset
Temp2: CPU Tcase
Local Temp: Case Probe?
Remote Temp: Another case probe?
HD0: First Hard Drive
HD1: Second Hard Drive
Core0: 1st CPU Core
Core1: 2nd CPU Core

My guess is with driver confliction or GFX Card. (Check the card temps from time to time) if thats not the issue... then its probibally down to certain software confliction. I get that when I load an app and then certain games. So think what you got loaded. Might be firewall or something? (please don't say norton... )

Have you checked the system events log monitor?

That should have some errors giving you some form of indication why its rebooting.

Also by the sound of it, it could be a faulty hdd if your getting corrupt files but thats only a guess.

try a safe mode boot maybe with networking see if you get errors. if you do its probably not a driver problem.

that random reset sounds like a virus that was going around a couple of months ago have you tried couple of anti-viruses with a full scan?

also abit of a long shot but check you BIOS version against your manufacturer. a new BIOS might reset any IDE controller problems
