Right i've had a probelm where i would frequently get a disk read error when i boot up windows, it's now decided to corrupt the hardrive. Tried a different HDD and still was getting Read errors, any one got any ideas ? ill post the spec a bit later

all can remeber its a ( im formatting it i speak)

AMD operaton 2.0 ghz
2gig Cosair ram
a nividia 8800 GTS

and the mother moderboard a shuttle made one ( i really haven't got a clue about this damn thing)

any ways i was thinking of buying a new case, mother board and processor (the rest being from the old one ) but i need this to last for a while longer.

Similar problem to what I've got. http://forum.gamecommunity.co.uk:8080/viewtopic.php?t=47449 Could be numerous things but also could be bad memory. Had the problem once before on an old computer, changed the memory and it want away. :? Ran Memtest? Oh yeah, I've currently got corsair as well hmmmmm...

Im not overclocking . havn't touched the pci bus.

i've aslo tried different ram.

EDIT : i found a firmware upgarde for the shuttle Fixes several problems which are exactly in description of mine . Though these fixes arn't for my manufacturer of my hard drive :( hopefully they might do the trick.
