I have webspace, my brother has photos, my mum has a desire to see said photos. Anyone know of a simple upload script I can chuck onto a subdomian so my brother can upload them and my mother download (not necessarily view) them. Can't be bothered to hash one together myself Cheers./ |

i'm not familiar with any scripting or so, but if having a preview or choice of what pictures to download aren't required,... you could just put them in a rar/zip archive and only have one big file to upload/download? |

What's wrong with using FTP - but with a "simple" interface - ie, Internet Explorer. It'll be something they recognise and find easy to use (drag and drop or copy/paste functionality) in a familiar environment. Furthermore, you provide the ftp url for them to paste, and that's all the complexity - the rest is as they are already familiar with... so no hard tutorials or anything Lastly, remember to remind them it takes time to transfer... |

What chips said i use ftp in explorer mostly and use a ftp client to back up etc. In Vissta I have it saved as a favourite folder and I can just click on it and im in. Just create a seperate ftp account if you can and only let them access the photo folder |

1 uploader is easy , 10 is easy but the web is a crap medium for this kinda thing esp if people dont understand that the 10x 1.mb jpgs take time to post also php by default has a 2mb post limit - easy to change if you the sysops but not so if your using a isp |
