Post subject:  new bb crap speeds
my bb broadband was activated today and the spped test says 1mb down with the phone plugged in,unplug the phone and i get 1.8mb down.

if i unplug the router and then plug it back in i have to dial out on the phone for the internet to connect.the guy said it sends acharge down the phone and to check everything is plugged in.

i checked everything its all good.

do the lines still take a while to settle?

they said the best the line could do would be 4mb but my mate round the corner gets 6.

ive got crap pings on cod 4 to which is what annoys me the most :evil:

Tried a different phone? You did plug the filter in right didn't you? Tried a different filter?

tried all those apart from the phone.

i get get it to connect through the router now tho :roll:

and i reset the router and got 5mb down and my ping dropped to 100kbs in cod 4 but i noticed everybody seemed to have high pings last night :o7:
