My computer has slowed down inexplicably. Takes forever to boot, and when its up, everything seems to run at about 1/4 speed. Anyone got any ideas? I've already done the following: - Antivirus scan - Spyware scan - Adware scan - Registry Clean - msconfig - Uninstalled uneccessary programs It all seemed to kick in after I uninstalled MagicTune for my samsung monitor, but this was because the program said that my system wasnt compatible with it (even though magictune was working fine before, and my computer worked fine before I installed it as well ) I tried to re-install and got the same incompatibility message. I'm not sure if this program is related or not. There are no signs of anything using an abnormal amount of processing power or memory.. Wondered if anyone had any ideas on what I could do? Thanks, Seric |

Can sometimes be hardware and quite occasionally software conflicts. Don't ask me why but it does sometime cause lag. From experience, I usually get a huge slow down a couple times on bootup and get so fed up I restart until it goes fast again, so it could be hardware or just something isn't quite right with the drivers for your monitor. You tried uninstalling them at all? |
