Apart from being morally wrong, would for instance damaging my graphics card, and then sending it back and getting a refund, have any other implications? Not that I'm going to do this, I'm thinking more of selling it on Ebay, but then I feel guilty for the stupid people that will buy it lol.. |

Because people are buying them for like, more than their worth , probably thinking my card (8800gts 320mb) is better than the 8800GT 256mb, which by name it should be, but in practice it's not lol. |

If selling on ebay then don't worry if people pay more , it's an auction |

also, you probably don't have the right to a refund from the manufacturer, just a repair/replacement |

sell it to gullible people on ebay (their own fault for not having researched things if they think it's better. you're not doing them a favour, you're trying to sell something, that's the way it goes ) like gp said if you try for warranty, you'll only get a new 8800 gts, no refund |

if the product is damaged due to your own negligence you have no right to get a refund or replacement/repair (i.e. you damaging it being a fool due to bad handling) ... Consumer protection legislation only permits you to get a replacement / repair if its through fault of the manufacturer (i.e. it's arrived dead on arrival, or has not been fit for purpose and has died when used reasonably by yourself......... and normally if this is physical damage you can actually see like a bent pin.. it's pretty safe to say that you caused it they aren't dumb....also you would have to of declared it dead on arrival if it arrived like that..... and since you've probly had your had like... a year or so.... you can't do that now.. the time limit has passed... so...... stop getting fraudulent ideas l |

GP: Pretty sure I wouldn't get a replacement, ebuyer don't sell them any more, and their not being made (embarrassing!) TJ: Already got it up there, bids start at £80, woot! Mike: I think Ebuyer just totally own what you say by refunding / replacing anything their given , from me anyway, and I broke my CPU myself by accident (well, in anger really with old comp) and it was obvious with all the broken pins but they still refunded that lol. And pfft I've got it up on ebay now, nothing fraudulent..If I try it later and get sued you can defend me for free yea ? |
