So im visitng my parents and being bored. I started to mess around with Truecrypt - especially the part about encrypting my laptop.

About 9% into the encrypt of the hd it comes up with a data error (cyclic redundant check). Well wft...never had a problem with the hd in my laptop.

So i run chkdsk a few times with all kind of parameteres to see if i could find a problem. But no, nothing.

So do anyone know of another tool that might take a better look at the hd or system in general?

Cheers
