after downloading process explorer........ (cheers slappy)....saw that i had 50% hardware interupts...... :evil:

after much looking around.... found that the harddrive had reset itself to pio access...instead of ultra dma... :?

heres hoping that my hd aint gonna go tits up in the Near future....
anyway... reset it by uninstalling the primary and rebooting..seems to have worked...fingers crossed.
