 Post subject: Removing DIVX from a video file

after downloading a couple of video files that are in the .avi extension i find i cant burn them to DVD to play on my ps3 as nero doesn't recognize it as a video file.

What i want to do is play file's that i have on the HDD on my ps3 with the pc off. Anyone know of a way to do this?

There are also some .mkv files that i would like to burn to dvd aswell if poss

I use nero to convert them to dvd files, plenty of free apps about, just google 'divx-dvd converting' etc

I always just shove the file onto either my psp or my phone and transfer them across to the ps3, then watch them that way, saves on disks :smile:

ConvertXtoDVD is the best program out there. :grin: DVD-R are best for video DVD+R are best for data.
