i've been having these glitches in age of conan, everything's running perfectly fine and then all of the sudden glitches appear, sometimes they go away on their own, sometimes it crashes the pc (the game freezes and i have to hard-reset the computer). it's a variable amount of time, sometimes it's right when i start it up, sometimes i can play for quite long without problems. it's not one specific area either. i had the same problem with world in conflict, but there i didn't even have 'good' moments, it just glitched and crashed each and every time. i've tried all sorts of drivers but none resolved it (i've tried running it in low to medium graphics too but it still fecks up) i thought it might have been the temperature, but i've got the fan running at 100% now so it stays at about 70 i think under load so that can't normally be it either. i'm running windows xp 32-bit core2duo 6600 8800 gtx 3 gb ddr2 ram etcetera ... latest audio drivers, chipset drivers and what not... |

xfx 8800 gtx and my psu's an antec true power trio 620 watt i hope it's a heat problem then, as i've got a new gpu cooler (the 'Thermalright HR-03 Plus' someone posted about a couple of months ago) and 2 12cm fans on order which should make it slightly less like the oven it is now |

If the Ambient temperature of the room goes up 10C then of course the cooling will be less efficient. This time of year is when heating problems are more likely to occur as I have learnt the hard way. |

there are people with glitches and freezes, but not like mine i don't think (haven't found any anyway) it's been fairly cold for a summer around here, 15°C etcetera, so ambient temperature shouldn't be it (at least not the sole factor) we'll see when the new coolers are in place |
