Well... for last few weeks computers been freezing on start up =/

what happens... i turn it on

It does the first loading screen thing

then stops... and never loads...

Any ideas on how to prevent this? (Without throwing it or any thing like that)

Did ask magoo... but he said google it and see what i could find... but found nothing

Any suggestions?

have you tried to boot into safe mode .... hold down f8 on start up
can you get into the bios ? if so try resetting to factory settings

try selecting your hard drive as the boot

as soon as you see a message saying "Starting Windows" tap F8 a few times - you should get a menu appear, try the top option (Safe Mode)

I would say ask Magoo, but your PC won't survive

OK if you do get windows to run in safe mode ... you can tell its in safe mode as it will say it in the corners
do a restore
start ... all programs ... accessories ....system tools .... system restore..


select a date back a few days when you know your computer was working

Nope nothin, cant get in safe mode


the only thing i can do is press Del, some menu comes up

and F8 and that thing i posted comes up

Have you added/changed any hardware lately?

Either:

A) Motherboard on it's way out
B) Knackered Hard disk
C) Insufficient power
