Hi yall, okies ... so ound was bonza till i robbed a facebook vid and tryed to watch in media player 11, it said i needed a codec for it so i downloaded the codec via the auto thingy, and pow! its all gone tits up, logs into TS and they could not hear me but i could hear them, loged out, logged into vent and it was the oppersite !! anyways listerning to music and its all digitaly messed up! watch you tube vids can hardly (if at all) any voice audio, now rebooted , rolled back done all the usual stuff (i think) and it got a little better....i say better its shite! logged into vent and it works, but.. i have to have the volume turned all the way up just to hear the peeps and even then its really quiet, logged into TS and it had switch round from before! .. i dont have much hair and id like to keep hold of the bit iv got. anyone help out at all?

im presuming its a codec conflict but ill be f**ked if i can sort this with out killing at least the dog and mortaly wounding the cat.

so to recap: music is all distorted, voice audio is sooooooooo quiet,

oh yeah, onboard sound, SoundMax, windows XP sp3 all drivers up to date.

ta in advance
