My HP Color Laserjet Issue is:

When going into HP Director on the computer. I click Transfer Images, this brings up a window to Select the location to Save, the Date and folder to save it in, and the bottom area which says initializing and then whether it connects or not. In my case it is random.

What do I mean?:

Firstly I have a re-installed Dell Inspiron 5150 Desktop computer.
Everything is completley fresh and the individual user has administrative rights.
I have installed the Printer Driver correctly and all the software that comes with it. NO ERRORS.
Yet when I go into the HP Director and try to Transfer the images I can select dates and when and where, BUT I can not connect to the card. Either as Administrative User or Local PC Administrator.

I have changed permissions, etc etc and still nothing.

Secondly I tried a computer sat on the opposite part of the room.
These are the restricted users now.
They can Scan, Print etc... without any issues.
Now, I can understand to the extent that they are restricted users and this could have implications, but I have gone on and changed the permissions to Administrative and I still get the same issue.
I log onto the same computer as Administrator on the local machine and it then works.

But then I go onto a computer downstairs. No changes and it works as both the User and Administrator..

I can't be something so obvious surely?

All computers here are XP 32-bit, with Service Pack 2 / 3.
There are two Dual Core computers here. (one of them does not use the printer in question.)
Memory goes from 512MB - 2GB
Network capabilities are 100Base for older machines and 1000Base for newer machines.
