My current modem is a dynamode r-adsl-c4-w-g1 i suspect its crap, has next to no security and i lose connection with it on average once an hour or so whilst playing online (its wireless). Imay be totally wrong though but have no way of knowing otherwise, is it likely that its the modems fault and if so can anyone recommend a decent cheapish modem for me. It doesnt have to be owt special, just one thats reliable and got a bit of encryption on it. |

Sounds like a crap modem, however, there are things you can check, such as lease time, is it set to renew every hour or so. and is wireless your only option as wired connection is far batter. but get a wirless n router/modem and a n network card or dongle and you should see a big improvment. is it just a router you need? do you use a seperate modem? as i probably have an old one i could send you thats better then what you have |

Thanks mate im going to anb my mums router tomoz. Think i'll get a direct wire sorted as well. |
