Started getting lots of emails like this about 2 days ago, Logged into my gmail account at home and was told I've had some account activity in south Korea, Checked my sent mail and some twat/bot has sent this email about 500 times. I've changed the password and any account tied to that has been changed as well. How did this bloke get my password? Use Microsoft security essentials on all my puters, is it crap? This happened while I was on holiday so I doubt it's any pc at home, The only thing I can think of is me using wireless hot spots all over America/Canada with my phone and laptop. Virus scan picks up nothing. Laptop is now off, know of any good tools for scanning an android 2.2 phone? edit* I had a world of warcraft account about 3-4 years ago, but it no longer exists when I try to log into it, What about if the bot logged into my old wow account ( I might av used the same password as my email but I doubt it, then linked the two together? ) Cheers Spoiler: |

I think he's saying that's the email he's found sent from his GMail account I use MS Security essentials as well, swapped from Avira (which is, imo, the best free AV around) simply due to it's update not working that well. Avira is supposed to be better, AVG worse... If you want something complete and strong, then I noticed Bit Defender (currently ranked the best anti virus and whatnot) is doing a special 1 year, 3 PC, license of their complete suite (anti virus, firewall, anti malware yada yada yada) for £29.99 - which is dirt cheap considering what you get |

public access points = no encryption your user/pass would be easy to intercept in a public place with ease |

nerds on bleeping computer say that Microsoft is ironically the best one at the moment... better than pay ones.... the definitions are more up to date. |
