Post subject:  Decent Webcam Recording Application
Since M$ decided to remove or strip anything that was useful of they're video applications (Windows Movie Maker from WinXP - I'll explain in a second) I have this problem of not being able to record footage of my webcam for editing before uploading onto youtube.

Big question is, does anyone know of any decent video recording software. Everytime I type into google I get some shitty screen recording software. :evil:

I've tried Sony Vegas, but I get an error where all the frames are forever being dropped and the footage never actually records.

Any help would be greatly appretiated.

having never used a webcam...

do you not get any software with with it to enable recording?
