Just got hold of this all-in-one PC for free which seems to be overheating. These are the fans that cool the CPU and Video. Are they supposed to rotate anti-clockwise? I can't see how the wiring could be wrong as its impossible to plug them in wrong way. They are supposed to pull the air in and out the vents on the left but I can hardly feel any air flow.

Not really, just the same as any of my other PC fans, although when the top one is going round you can put your finger on it and stop it and it will start again, do the same on the bottom one and it stops and you have to give it a little push to start it again. Now I've taken the back of it seems to have stopped crashing so it must be something to do with this.

Was going to, but couldn't be arsed at the time. Took fan off gave then a good clean, noticed the heat pad on the passive cooler on the video chip was only on half the chip so re-aligned that, cleaned the CPU compound off the CPU and replaced with artic silver, Just need a new bios battery then I'll put the case back on and see what happens... :s

Hard drives still a piece of crap, I could transfer data on floppy disk faster, might do as a net box though.

Was the power supply in the end. No problem now, just need a couple a one gig sticks of PC3200, if it can handle it, and it might actually be usable...
