3D Mark 11 - 8800 GTS 512 (previous card) (Intel Quad 2.66GHz / 6GB ram) Box arrrives Shiny new box... Shiny new card. Installed 3D Mark 11 - GeForce GTX 560Ti - Not sure what it all means though! |

Yep, double your previous score, I'd say that's an improvement. Random observation... you're using a mixture of 2gb and 1gb sticks to give you a total of 6gb? I used to do that but one day tried removing the 2 x 1gb sticks and suddenly got about a 30% improvement in performance (even with 4gb instead of 6gb total). I guessed it was something about having a mixture of different size sticks that the machine didn't like, even though they were the same speed etc. Could be worth a try doing that? Obviously you'd lose some RAM but for me the performance increase was very good. |

Although I was in the biggest group for speed for my spec at the end of the test it did say my speed was low for the class so maybe that's one reason why. Cool though, I'll give it a try. 4 gigs of 400Mhz wouldn't cost a lot anyway. |
