i really like the look of this moniter to get on my next payday, BUT is there that much difference between this /\ and

except for the contrast ratio, is the more expensive one worth it?

depends.... the dearer one has a 3 year guarantee, height adjustment, DVI inputs and will have a much better quality screen.

Personly, i would try to save up a bit more to get something capable of 1600x1200 or 1650 x 1080(widescreen)
the higher resolutions will b essential

Aye, don't forget most of the nubs who buy TFTs don't even realise the pixels are fixed, so one pixel becomes four when scaling down, or you get shitty distortion.

Still haven't seen a TFT where black is black yet either.

I stare at one of the bloody things 9 hours a day at work, the fecking piece of crap :(
