LO just a short post, someone asked me about this on ventrillo: Belkin Wireless G Access Point [F5D7130] Basically this will let you turn a wired network into a wireless one without the hastle and expense of buying a new router that does both. Also it has great range so stick 2 of these on long patches either end of a large business site and ....... your sorted http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=201522&pcount=&Product_Id=136486 I only use one myself at home, and so far it has never diconnected!!! Even thought im fairly kowledgeable on neworks, (wired and non) i have soo much trouble with most wirless connection so i thought id say... This one works!, and it works well, no disconnections at all for 2 months! I bought mine at http://www.aria.co.uk for £41 http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductsList.asp?Name=belkin fUNKUS |

I have the very same one however i get disconnected regularly however i am at the very tip of the wireless range so meh, and also i blame my wireless connecter thing on my computer more - its always overheating. If theres a laptop nearer it though it works extreemely well, id probabloy reccomend it |

yeah you might be pushing your luck on the edge of the routers range but if you need more range just add a longer patch and move the wireless router or get one of them aluminium singnal boosters, they make your home look like a military instalation http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WIFI-Parabolic-Booster-for-Wireless-B-G-Access-Points_W0QQitemZ5879412554QQcategoryZ61816QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem PS: Never actually tried one of these but its got to work,.....its Parabolic |

ROFL damn jipsies come on to your network, leave stuff lying around and do poor quality construction work over the internet? Alwyays one step ahead! PS: 20% Boost isnt that much and range isnt the security issue tbh, just use 10 key encrytion if you worried. I youre really paranoid then use a cable. I noticed that the govornmant has BANNED the use of wireless networks in govt buildings. IE. At the moment It's never going to be 100% secure. |

I'm betting that gypsies would really bother knicking my Broadband...it would involve walking about 1/4 of a mile up a pot-holey lane, where if your luck you'll still have the use of your leg afterwards... Then sitting outside, most likely getting wet while trying to find a BB signal...On the other hand...how many gipsies do you know with Laptops? |

I've been told to stay away from belkin wireless products because they too have had probs with them, but i want to set up a (secure) wireless network just for the laptop, as for the pc, well that is still going to be on the wire, sooooo any help in regards to this will be gratefully recieved thank you |
