In a word, no Basically, a PC case can function perfectly without any intake fans as long as there is enough exhaust (say 2x80mm) just to create a little negative pressure. Hot air being exhausted is much more efficient at cooling than room temperature being taken in, makes sense when you think about it carefully. The only reason I have any intake is because both my HDDs get very hot, so I have a very slow running 80mm mounted in the HDD cage just to move a little air over and it works wonders without disrupting air flow |

I'm not paying for this by the way. Plus I need it more for size too, and it's quite big (Saw it in the shop), and the fan makes no sound (Which doesn't matter because my PSU drowns out a Boeing 747 ). Just saw it in the shop at the time, the silver version (Which looks a lot better than the black version). |

If you like the look of it get it, but those big turbine-like intakes are for aesthetics, noisy and serve little purpose. All it will do is create convection in the chassis, and your CPU HSF will just get warm air. Go to any good cooling forum and they will tell you exhaust is much more important than intake |

Couldnt the fan be turned around to vent outside of case, it could be used as a hand dryer |
