Have you a camping shop you can get to?
I've found it pays to have a look at them in person. Decent stitching and how they go up is usually the key.
Failing that - spend your cash on an uber 4seasons sleeping bag, that way, when you wake up to find your tents somewhere near the next field across - you won't care :D :D

I had a single layer tent last time which was crap... Defianatly will get one with a full flysheet this time... :) They have got nice 3D images of the tents on Blacks site even if there a little expensive.. 8) Probably go to Millets, they got bigger range in my style. :) http://www.millets.co.uk/ . I basically can't afford to make a mistake..... :(

what are you goin to use the tent for as well, fair weather camping, festivals or all year. Loot quiet a good place to look you can pick up some right second hand bargains from there.

don't forget weight issue.

you never know when you might actually hike with it. lighter the tent = more expensive......worth it though.

I went to a Bikers rally one Febuary, it was so cold I could barely get the pegs in with out bending em cos of the frost. I think I slept in my leathers. btw my tent was about £40 from millets.
