Not sure if this should be in the "post" Buying advice section.

Anyway, when you buy new peripherals (i.e. expensive mouse, router, expensive keyboard, sat nav, etc) or indeed any other electrical items which DON'T have big brown boxes as packaging, do you keep the boxes (perhaps if you sell the item in the future) or bin them ?

(Damn long sentence, bad grammar there).

Most of the time, yes...useful for RMAing stuff...which I do a lot

And the return invariably takes up more space than the original item, so you always need a slightly larger box.

Plus, they're usefull for storing anti-static foam 8)

Keep them. When the inevitable resale comes around it means £+++ compared to without. Only thing I haven't got is mouse/keyboard boxes because I don't tend to sell them.

Keep em then after about 6 months the misses tells me to clean up my crap. I then transfer all the extra bits into shoe boxes just in case I need em which is never, but when I do need a piece I realised I had just the week before chucked it out :?:

Keep them for things that are resellable.

EVen if i dont think I will sell them, I normally keep them to keep all the manuals and stuff in anyway. Good sometimes for larger things for transport (pack things away nicely for moving house or somehting).

I some times even keep the delivery packaging, because I'm a cheapskate and it means I don't have to my own bubble wrap if i sell something on Ebay :D
