Post subject: | Sound Card Problem |
I've looked at some nice Creative Soundcards in the £50 range... but I can find any that have Optical SPDIF out nor Coaxial Output, it's the only form of input my surround sound supports and I haven't seen anywhere to buy adapters for their products, anyone recommend a nice soundcard with this support? If you find one that supports Coaxial, I'll have to go buy a cable, but that's no biggie really. >.> Coaxial has to be SPDIF |

Audigy2 ZS You should be able to find cheap ones somewhere It has coaxial output that I use into my sony 5.1 surround sound system, although you have to set up the software to pass through. Games dont get sent out in 5.1 though, if i want to do this I have to connect the fr,fl, c,b rr,rl set of wires to the inputs that luckily my amp supports |

Actually, I got to thinking... all my speakers use Coaxial from the Bass speaker... and the bass speaker uses a port much like an S-Video cable (dunno what type it is) am I able to buy adapters for these? Because I know that most systems use the 3 ports as their source for surround sound o.o So basically, I could put the Dolby Digital Decoder aside and use direct connections for the speakers etc...? |
