looking at buying corsair twinx match memory 6400 2x2048 but what is the difference between CL4 and CL5 cas lattency as there is about £35 difference and is it worth paying the extra? let me know asap as i gettin nxt week |

i think that basically the smaller the number the better. 4-4-4-12 is better than 5-5-5-12. |

it means how many clock ticks the memory needs to wait before it's ready to send stuff again (simplified obviously) so the lower, the better now it doesn't make that much of a difference though, one tick of the internal clock is only a microsecond or so? (not sure, but either way very very short ) so you won't really notice the difference |

i would still pay the extra for the 4-4-4 timing tho. i went for 4-4-4-10 |
