My current case didnt like my fans, and so the side window broke, so now i have a hole in case basically, i need a case, a big case, with lots of fans, and a SLI PSU for under £200

all under £200 or just the psu?

what gcards (there is different lvls of sli 'certified')

3 obvious choices on case
*Coolermaster Stacker 830 (£150)
*lian li V2000 (£150)
*chieftec Bravo Full Tower. (£70)

all will take E-ATX boards (so loooooads of room) and great for modding/watercooling/more fans.

Enermax Infiniti is a very good line of psus, moduler cables and solid ripple.

but just got to nvidia.com and you can look through the sli 'certified'

thats not to say that other psu's wont run sli, just they are the ones that have paid nvidia so they can use the stamp

HTH

ps. prices are RRP you can find them for a lot better oinline

I need a case that is solid, weight is not much of an issue, but i want a case that has lots of room, doesnt have too much plastic, and that doesnt have flimsy metal. The cooling i want is to have around 6-8 fans running quiet, i want to run them about 1000rpm, i have a zalman 9700 and i have a 7950 GT, soon to be 2 7950GT's. I also have 3 HDD, so heat is a problem for me at the moment. So i want a case that has support for that many fans. I want everything, case, PSU, extra fans and del at under £200

too many fans will just feck things up - what you want is airflow, a good clean passage from front to back. putting fans that pull air in sideways will only make things worse. I've got an antec case with a 7900 GT (flower cooler), C2D (arctic cooler), 2 hard drives and just two case fans, one front, one back, and both of them turned down nice and low.

also, get an antec :P

The Thermaltake Soprano is a fair size, fair space (is you move the cables about a bit) It's actually pretty solid, but just make sure you leave the door open complete if you take this option.

P180 here, nice enough size, pretty damn solid build as well, although the cabling can be fiddly becuase of the built in cable tidy, stays nice and cool though.

my case is slightly larger and quite a bit longer than most, you can have 5 fans in there, should you wish

but.....................

i would go with the antec P180 if you are concerned about heat,
as this came out top in a CPC case test and as bilbo points out,
too many fans will balls up the airflow and really
all you need is the air to go through quicker than a dodgy prawn salad sandwich

I have just bought a Antec900 gaming case, it hase 2 x 120m front fans, 1x120 rear exhaust and 1x200 (yes 20cm!!) top exhaust fan, only 65 quid, suprisingly quiet and keeps my rig ice cold :)

That loos nice arma.

What about the hard drive cages acting as air ducts. If you fill them up with drives will they no longer duct air efficiently?

I am looking for a new case mainly to fit my drives in and get better air flow than the one I have, to many cables in to confined a space :(

3 hard drives will only block one fan, leaving the other one for intake. Or spread em out. Either way, shouldn't be too bad.

As for cables - get a sata DVD drive and your left with some pretty titchy cables, a few cable ties later and you've got no problem.

Then again in my computer I have a floppy drive (34 pins), IDE DVD drive (40 pins) and front Audigy module (40 pins), all flat, and barely sorted, and my computer runs nice'n cool afaik

i have heard that if you get this case, the placement of the power cable can mean the need for an extension cable
