just not true.

creative win on one front. hardware acceleration.

if you want to off load sound from your cpu then creative is your man

of sound quality then m-audio (et al) are better.

as for software, creative couldnt write their way out of a driver bag.

lol slappy - funnily enough my first pc for music had one of them to start with 0 at least it had a midi port - used to use it to trigger Akai samplers and it was not bad for timing :D Audio quality wanst an issue then - cos you didnt touch your pc for audio - only sequencing :D
