I'd go for the parts, better chip, good m/board, nice graphics card, change the HD to a spinpoint, if your not worried about overclocking you might find a cheaper board tahn that, you seem to have missed out the RAM though. But all of thats just over £60 less than the built pc, so you should be able to sandwich it in for not much difference.

Go for the parts. Took 2 secs to decide that from just scanning each of the prebuilt and parts specs,

Well I had my first time building the computer i'm using, did it all myself pretty much (had trouble with weird little wires which I still can't get to work lol, but their only the front usb ports which I wouldnt use much)..
It's all fairly simple, colour coded, lots of simple instructions even my mum could use.

Building it is a peice of piss - if the two parts fit together, they're probably supposed to
Making it work, now thats a whole different kettle of chips...

Chris ~ seriously man, I built my system for less and its twice as good mate.
I had never built one before, im useless with techy things, but it was reasonably easy and long as you use common sense and the right tools.
would deffo build one again, much cheaper in the longrun...

Building a system isnt that bad at all, can remeber when I built my first one, and apart from thinking when adding the cooler I was going to snap the motherboard, (hate rthe way they flex), its all pretty obvious what fits in where most stuff is a firm fit, if it is going to take any forcing to fit it its probably in the wrong place, just go slow, have space, and read the motherboard booklet for which slots are where and you'll be ok.
