No O.S., already have a valid XP license and I don't want Vista.
No monitor because I have an old LCD I can use.
all for the net sum of £468,72 in this mornings exchange rates, excluding transportation.
Will this be a decent gaming pc? It's what I might be able to stretch to, and rather do upgrades at a later stage.
Will it be good to do upgrades on later? (I'm lost when it comes to computer specs)

I would consider changing that 8500GT. It can hardly match, performance wise a 7600GS.

Go for the XFX GeForce 8600GT if you can, and where are you buying it from?

It won´t be a decent gaming PC and you won´t have much fun with it.
The motherboard uses too much power, gets really hot, is outdatet and has SLI which I don´t think you will use (not with the 8500GT). Get a GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3 instead with a Intel chipset.
The CPU is really outdatet and should be replaced with an Intel CPU like a Core2Duo E6320 or E6420.
The RAM is also too slow, get at least DDR2 667/PC5300 and 2GB.
The GeForce 8500GT won´t make you happy. It is not a gaming card and for sure not with slow DDR2. If you don´t want to upgrade in the next 2 years then get a GeForce 8800GTS 320MB which is the best thing you can buy at the moment.
My configuration will give you around 150 FPS (1280x1024) and everything maxed out in CS:S (beside HDR) and it´s still powerfull enough for the next 2 years.
EDIT: You could install water-cooling by yourself which can be if you are not experienced enough a pain. If you ment installing water-cooling in your configuration from that site then I´d say that would be a bummer, because a cooler from Scythe is enough for overclocking.

They don't have the E6320 or E6420 CPU.
Will the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz Socket LGA775, 4MB, BOXED do?
