Post subject: | 8800GTS or GTX |
Just ordered myself a new pc. This one with XP: http://www.computersinc.be/compinc-dual-core-flyer.jpg I added a Sparkle 8800GTS 320MB for 200£. But I am having doubts about the card. Should I go for the Sparkle 8800GTX 640MB for 300£ or isn't there much of a difference.[/img] |

Have a look at this: http://techreport.com/articles.x/11830/1 It looks like no change from usual, if you want to crank the textures up to max and play at higher resolutions get the best. |

it really depends on your res. but get the 640 GTS in my book 1280x1024 - GTS 1680x1050 - GTS is still fine for me higher - GTX Coming DX10 games might be more demanding and the extra power might be needed but by then there will be another revision - only if ATI get there arse into gear. |

Well... I'd agree. But if you get a GTS with high res monitor.... Get the 640MB Version. I have one, play all my games with 1680x1050 and always leave my other monitor on (1024x768). GTX your also likely to need one hefty sized brick of a PSU to power the damned thing too. |

Thats like 6GHZ Dual Core... AMD have a different way of advertising their Dual Cores... its actually TWO 3GHz cores... Don't get confused and that does not mean double the power. |
