i have my eyes on 3 sets... 42 inch pioneer plasma. 42 in sony x series or a 37 inch philips pixel plus. all 1080p. pioneer has the best write up sony appears to be the best value philips seems to have the best picture. viewed all 3..... pioneers looks really nice and picture is great..but its more expensive. (no stand or pedestal) sony looks are great.... not sure wether the picture was set up properly.) philips picture plus is amazing.... and the ambi light looks great..not sure what the missus would make of it tho...lol what do you have? |

I have a 26" Panasonic Viera thingymabob Which? Said the panasonics were the best in that size range and they are absolutely right, have seen others and they just dont compare This ofcourse doesnt help you in the slightest, however it gave me a chance to brag about my telly Check Which? ratings I would go with the Phillips personally because the ambilight feature is beastly and sony sets are often over rated |

same as Tongeh, i'm well impressed with it ran my nephew's PS3 through it and BANANA me, it looked great (first time i've seen HD content other than any vid that i have done) with reference to Which magazine, they have always rated panasonic highly and have done for years now your best bet is to view all with your own media of choice, rather than watch digital tv through them (picture quality is bobbins) probably sway towards the Panasonic though, previous tv was a 25" panasonic and the picture was awesome |

Samsung are really good at the moment, of your 3 I'd go for the Philips by the sounds of it. Saw a 100Hz model in Tescos earlier, showing a promo filled with, um, models. Funny how the old back trouble started up after that.... Forget plasma - ancient technology requiring a nuclear power station to juice it |
