wow, thats quite tempting at that price....wait...I already have 1.5 terabytes....

I've got two of the maxtor externals, including the one tjolbi posted....verr good hard drives but with no on off switches, and only my mac actually spins them down when it turns off....

I'll take another look at it tonight, but from what I could see, there was no screws, and I got to the point of pulling where I had to stop for fear of snapping the case.


I think he means externally mounted, on the back of the PC - no need to open case.

Mine is snuggled up with the usb ports around the back. There are two ports, one is the eSata and another is something else... just says 1394 or something :lol:

I meant the replacing the Drive in my Mybook :wink:

Can transfer at 800mbps which is fairly good 8)

Most people use it for video editing etc..

Due to the large files and other reasons, haven't looked into it much.
