Ok, so done some browsing about and found a few that look hopeful. I'm not looking for something thats awesome gaming, but want for some gaming, baring in mind that I'm willing to get whichever seems best out of these three unless someone procs a different one for better cash.

No. 1:
£500 - Got two of these as chrimbo pressies at the moment (other people)... not sure if its the one for me though

No. 2
£700 - Obviously the better one

No. 3
£620 - smaller hard-drive by 90GB and 200MHz less than the one above

The two from novatech makes me wonder if the extra £80 is worth 90GB and 200MHz. :?

Whats your choices people?

i'd say get nr 3 if you already have a decent desktop (for the hdd space), the cpu upgrade isn't worth 80£ on its own so unless that laptop will be the only computer you've got go for the regular alpha r :)

Ordered the bottom one, the 200MHz and 90GB isn't worth the £80.

Well, when I get mine (which won't be before xmas unfortunatly... but meh) I'll give some feedback. When I was messing with their ones in their showroom the build felt pretty good. And I think I'd rather to install the OS from scratch than have all the crap they put on 'em from stock.

Novatech is one of the only places I've seen that offer no OS on dispatch. :)
