According to engadget it's like taking two 8800 ultras in SLi and putting them in one card.

And thats the annoying thing! it's not even a new card! they've just shrunk the ultras GPU down to 65nm so they can fit two of them into one housing.

I'm sure it will be a beastly card, but it wasnt really the huge leap i was expecting

only 30% over a single ultra,hmmmm you could oc an ultra to get the extra 30%.

its not quite as simple as just making them smaller - the switch to the smaller architecture will have significant performance increases and over the long run give you cheaper cards.

1) nVidia have lost the plot wrt to naming conventions - abuse of dominant market position or new VP of Marketing? Either way, nobody's fooled :roll:

2) It might be that a new driver will sort out the performance, but don't expect anything spectacular....

And quite possibly cost you and arm, leg and your soul :D . Nvidia does seem to be bringing out new cards every other week is getting bloody confusing :? .
