Post subject: | A new Bike |
Well I'm looking for a new bike, Currently have one of these with a old marzocchi bomber forks on it, or what ever you call em Really love this bike, but its crap for roads and its making strange noises at the moment, been used a hell of a lot over the past 5-6 maybe 7 years. So I think its about time I need a new one, I cycle about 2-3 times a week, with a good mix between busy roads, nackered roads and a lot of off road riding, through woods etc. looking to spend around £400 on a new one, maybe more if there's a good reason. Currently looking at this one http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=14966 Any suggestions , Cheers |

Personally i would go for this: http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=70638 or this http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=86415 Probably go for the ironhorse over the Kona Spend 30 quid putting on a pair of DMR Moto RT1's and it'll fly on the road and the trail http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=11539 |

note that the BeOne comes without pedals and has a Truvativ crank whick are truly truly awful I completely ripped through the alu on one my truv crank arms in under 6 months Also the ironhorse has a ritchley stem, who make bad ass stems and 20mm more suspension on a better fork (Darts are average forks) Just something to think about ; ) Oh and the BeOne's reviews on CRC aint too favourable |

Back suspension bike are usually not very good unless there over £1000 Also as jfk wants a good road bike unless he spends 1500 and gets a full sus with a lock out he'll be bouncing around the road, putting energy into bouncing instead of into pedalling |

JFK has his rear suspension sponsored by Fray Bento's pies anyway |
