firstly, i refuse to buy an ipod on principle that every conformist person out there has 1....and because i'm stubborn about buying from apple... My requirements are .... At LEAST 4GB capacity and over....8GB preferably and over... i want to pay no more than £70-85 Must have a battery life of at least 4 hours. No disposable batteries (i would prefer to recharge it) I would like a reasonable interface - not one that takes ages to navigate to an album... I.e. i want to be able to listen to whole albums (i've had 2 mp3 players in the past that seem to completely disregard the Track numbers (even tho ID3 tags were correct) and just made its own ****ing order up... GRRR the ipod is good for this... is there something which can compete with this flexible interface also, incredibly fancy LCD screens don't interest me so much..they simple waste battery anyway.. i preferably don't want a brick in my pocket... but if that is something i have to compromise with i would be willing to Whats are my best options? I'm currently looking at something like an 8GB creative zen...for £80 for £83.03inc vat on this note though.. i noticed everything seems to be getting merged into 1 device... camera + mp3 player sounds like a good idea open to suggestions thx in advance |

well, yer budget option would be this > Itronics 8GB MP3 Player it has you'r 8gb, it has an 8 hour battery life, it's very cheap. but, it uses AAAs instead of re-chargeables...but then with the money you save you could buy one of these. |

I have a Creative Zen Stone and it completely ignores the order you put songs in and folders and stuff like that so wouldn't bother. |
